Artist books by Katsumi Komagata

His books are an important part of Katsumi's work. Though apparently simple, each conveys messages and truths about life cycles and life in general, making them accessible and interesting to both children and adults. 

To make the list more managable, they have been divided into:

Books

Story books, published since 1994. Often colourful, sometimes restrained, they have been inspired by the colours of nature and Katsumi's own experiences, as well as the interests and needs of his growing daughter. 

Tactile Books

Two tactile books developed in 2003/04 for visually impaired as well as normalsighted people.

Little Eyes

A series of playful cards on different themes to encourage babies' and toddlers' curiosity as well as the interaction between parent and child.
